He's name is Wakinyan Thomas. What does Wakinyan means? It means the "Thunder." While on a mission. Wakinyan, the elite warrior had no idea that his life was about to change. They came to him haunting him in dreams. Even though, Wakinyan was taught the essential values, skills and discipline. He wasn't around much to learn about his culture,the spiritual part of being a Proud Lakota.


While living in the Reservation. Wakinyan constantly got into trouble due to his long hair and brown skin. With no surprising. When the outsiders/the non-natives came into his Reservation their  ignorance had taking the best of them. They began  name calling him and others as well .It is their home, violaters should beprosecuted.  Not able to take it any longer.  His anger had taking the best of him, making him take action which got him into trouble.
Wakinyan was taking to court outside the Reservation even though the event did take place in tribal lands.

The Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868 was a "Peace Treaty" to end the Indian Wars between the non-natives-Natives.
Wakinyan's Relative's and other Society members within the tribe exercised their Treaty Status "any wrong" done by "bad men among the whites, or among other people subject to the authority of the United States."
That was the agreement!
